AHI TUNA POKE WONTONS

Trade your nachos and guacamole for some wonton poke nachos! This Hawaiian inspired recipe will quickly become a fan favourite of the family. Quick and simple to make, and perfect for parties or casual get-togethers. 


  • 2-3 Serves
  • Prep time: 15 minutes
  • Cooking time: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 150g Tuna sashimi grade (salmon can also be used)
  • 1 Avocado diced
  • 1 Tomato diced
  • 3 tbsp Corn kernels
  • 1 tbsp or half Shallot minced
  • 2 Limes, one for lime juice and second cut in quarters
  • 2 tbsp Edamame beans (optional)

  • Neutral cooking oil
  • 3 tbsp Coriander chopped
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp White rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 5 tbsp Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 Packet Tak On Food Products Wonton 300g (15 pastry wrappers) 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil into a marinade bowl.
  2. Dice your tuna and add to marinade bowl, and mix well.
  3. Diagonally cut 15 wonton wrappers in half to form triangles.
  4. Deep fry wonton wrappers in neutral cooking oil for 1-2 minutes at 180°C or until golden and place on drying rack.
  5. Plate fried wonton wrappers in large serving bowl.
  6. Add marinaded tuna, diced avocado and tomato, minced shallots, corn kernels, edamame beans and coriander to serving bowl.
  7. Mix kewpie mayonnaise, sriracha and 1 lime, and pour over dish.
  8. Cut lime into quarters and use as needed.


Serve and enjoy!
