COCONUT AND SESAME MISO RAMEN

Feeling like ramen but don't have time to make that 12-hour Tonkotsu base? Try our deliciously simple ramen recipe that takes 20-minutes. Slurp away!


  • 2 Serves
  • Prep time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 20 minutes

cooking ingredients

  • 2 Shitake mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tbsp Sesame paste 
  • 1 tbsp Miso paste
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 can Coconut milk (400mL)
  • 1 can Stock of choice (400mL) Chicken, Vegetable or Bone broth
  • 200g Choice of Protein (Pork mince used in this recipe)

 

  • 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves finely chopped
  • Sesame seeds (Garnishing)
  • Spring onions finely chopped (Garnishing)
  • 3 tbsp Corn kernels
  • 1 tbsp Peanuts crushed
  • Tak On Food Products Ramen 400g (200g used in this recipe)

COOKING INSTRUCTIOns

  1. Add garlic, ginger and shitake to pot with olive oil, and cook on low heat for 2 minutes.
  2. Add sesame paste, stir and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add coconut milk, soy sauce and stock of choice (chicken used in this recipe).
  4. Bring stock to boil, and then simmer on low for 15-minutes.
  5. Whilst stock is simmering, cook protein and boil ramen noodles for 2 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain ramen noodles after 2 minutes.
  7. After 15-minutes, turn off heat for stock and add miso paste and stir.
  8. Plate soup, noodles and protein.
  9. Garnish with chilli oil, peanuts, corn, coriander, sesame seeds and spring onion.
