GARLIC CHILLI OIL RAMEN

Inspired by the Chinese 'You Po' noodles which means splash oil noodles. This 10-minute fix will showcase how simple it is to create a dish bursting with complex flavours and chewy noodles.

  • Prep time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 5 minutes

cooking ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Neutral oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 tbsp Chilli flakes or Sichuan chilli flakes
  • Cilantro (Garnishing)
  • 1 tbsp Spring onion finely sliced
  • Sesame seeds (Garnishing)


  • 1/4 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Dark Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Black vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Brown Sugar
  • Tak On Food Products Ramen 400g (100g used in this recipe)

COOKING INSTRUCTIOns

  1. Add minced garlic, chilli flakes, spring onion, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, black vinegar, salt and sugar to serving bowl.
  2. Boil ramen noodles for 2 minutes and then strain.
  3. For optional cold noodles, wash ramen with cold water after straining.
  4. Heat up neutral oil in pot to 180°C
  5. Carefully pour oil into serving bowl and watch the magic happen!
  6. Add ramen noodles to serving bowl and mix well.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds, and cilantro.
